We’re Hiring! Says Alpine With Impending Sacking Of Ocon At Season’s End
Alpine has seen enough of Esteban Ocon after the French driver collided with his teammate on the first lap of the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix and have ended his five-year tenure – not immediately, but at the end of the year – with the French team.
Ocon has not exactly been producing results for Alpine but the collision with his teammate Pierre Gasly on the first lap of the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix was the final straw of many Ocon straws for team principal Bruna Famin.
Ocon has only produced three podium finishes and a single victory [2021 Hungarian Grand Prix] in the five years at Alpine.
Ocon will race out the season but this weekend’s 2024 Canadian Grand Prix will see him with a five-place grid penalty from the Monaco incident.
